Kendi’s Cows is an organization that raises money for livestock for people who need it. It’s really simple, people here donate money and people in other countries get an animal and are taught how to take care of it. We work with missionaries and other organizations who are in these countries already and know exactly what kind of cows, goats, and chickens can live there. They also know the people who are really in need and they can help these people take care of their animals if they need help.
Kendi’s Cows believes that empowering communities is the key to winning the fight against extreme poverty in much of the world. With cows comes chance for a better future, food on the table and hope in the field. But this isn’t just about cows; it's about people. These are people who need food, resources, and an income in order to do things like send their children to school and ensure that tomorrow will be easier than today; these people are why we do what we do.
Jesus said in Matthew 25:35-39
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.” Then the righteous will answer him, “Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?” “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’”
